Natalie graduated from Rhodes University in Grahamstown South Africa in 2004. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Drama and Classical Civilizations. For Drama, her specialisations were Directing for Stage and Acting. Afterward she attended AFDA (Africa Film Dramatic Arts) in Cape Town. She studied Directing and Live Performance and received an honours degree in 2005. In 2006 she joined HIFA (Harare International Festival of Arts) where she worked as the Youth Zone Consultant for three years. In 2009 she moved briefly to Johannesburg where she worked as the Production Manager for a pilot shoot of a sitcom entitled It’s 4 Life, and the series was later commissioned by Mzansi Magic.
She moved back to Harare in 2010 where she started working on developing Township Zone Tales. In 2011 she became the Festival Coordinator for Zimbabwe Film Festival Trust and during her time there she completed 5 week Film Festival Management training with the Deutsche Welle Akademie in Berlin Germany. Part of that training included a short mentorship during the International Berlin Film Festival (Berlinale) where she shadowed her mentor in the press section. From 2013 to 2017 she was the Festival Coordinator for Shoko, an Urban Culture Festival in Harare. She is the Founder and Director of Inkosikazi Productions, which is currently in the development stages of getting the Township Zone Tales series made and aired.
